Why we win the matchup
The +8.4% advantage doesn't appear on its own:
- Attack-range advantage — we harass without exposing ourselves.
- Disable shuts off the opponent's right-click damage.
- Initiation skills force the enemy to react at an inconvenient moment.
- The escape mechanic lets you dictate tempo.
The main thing is not to lose these advantages to a wrong build. Below — concrete actions for each stage.
Matchup phases
We split the game into three stages. Each has a concrete action plan.
| Lane | Standard harass from range. Clamp the opponent and control creep aggro. |
| Mid-game | The disabler mechanic does most of the work. A stun → finish combo in 4 seconds. |
| Late | Our role is control and saving. Glimmer + Force + Aether Lens from a safe distance. |
The main task is to convert the early lead into tempo. Every small advantage accumulates by minute 15 into a tangible GPM gap.
Umbrella scripts
Software help from the Umbrella subscription closes Phoenix's weak spots in this matchup:

- Info Screen — Info Screen shows the opponent's approach through the fog.
FAQ
Where does the +8.4% advantage come from?
The OpenDota live feed — the public Dota 2 statistics API. The gap is calculated over millions of ranked games at high MMR. At low ranks the effect is weaker.
Can you lose with such an advantage?
Yes. +8.4% is statistics over a sample. If the enemy adapts through the build and a smart draft, the advantage melts to 1-2%.
Will Umbrella help?
The Umbrella subscription gives you Dodger, Item Auto-Use and Info Screen. On hard matchups the difference is ~2–3% win rate in favor of the Umbrella user.
Where do I get auto-combo on Phoenix?
On the guide page — the "Umbrella scripts" section. A ready config with binds is in CFG.
What if the enemy swaps their pick?
Then the matchup is irrelevant. Go to Phoenix counters, look at other dangerous picks.
