What the Bodyblock module does
Bodyblock is Umbrella's automated unit-blocking module. It controls all units under your command simultaneously, positioning them around a chosen enemy so that hero cannot move in any direction.
How it works
- Surrounding the target — units automatically take up positions around the enemy hero, closing off every direction of movement.
- Blocking escapes — if the enemy tries to flee, the nearest unit instantly repositions to cut them off, keeping them in range.
- Terrain pinning — the algorithm exploits walls and trees: the enemy is squeezed between your units and an obstacle.
- Illusion control — illusions of Meepo, Naga Siren, Phantom Lancer, Arc Warden and other multi-unit heroes are used as full blockers automatically.
- Summons as a wall — Lone Druid's bears, Lycan's wolves, Wraith King's skeletons move into the needed positions without manual input.
Block modes
- Trap mode — full encirclement: units spread evenly around the target for maximum containment.
- Chase-block — blocking on the move: units chase the fleeing enemy and cut off retreat paths.
- Lane-block — laning block: pins the enemy hero against their own creeps or a tower at the right moment.
