How to stack creeps in Dota 2 — automatic camp stacking

A stack costs one precise movement a minute and pays back tens of thousands of gold per game. The Auto-Stacker module works out the timing itself, pulls creeps past the camp box and can chain several camps in one run.

What creep stacking is and why it matters

Neutral creeps spawn once a minute — but only if the camp box is empty. Stacking rests on exactly that: pull the creeps already standing there past the camp boundary before the spawn moment and the game treats the spot as free, putting a new pack in. The old one walks back, and now the camp holds two sets. Repeat every minute and a camp carries three or four stacks.

Why bother:

  • Farm speed. A carry takes three packs in one trip instead of one — that is whole items earlier.
  • Support work. Stacking is one of the few things a position five genuinely moves the game with: while the carry holds the lane, the support fills the jungle.
  • Ancients and large camps. An ancient stack pays back most, and it also demands the most precision — more creeps and a longer pull.

When to pull a camp

One rule: the creeps must be outside the camp box before the zero second and back after it. The exact moment to start depends on the camp and on where you come from.

  • Close camps — aggro around the 53rd–55th second: the creeps are slow and do not need to travel far.
  • Far and ancient camps — earlier, around the 50th–52nd: a bigger pack takes longer to get moving and has to be led further.
  • Pulls around trees and cliffs — if the path bends you need an even bigger margin, because the creeps do not walk in a straight line.

That variability is exactly what breaks manual stacking. Miss by a second or two and the camp does not stack while the minute is gone. The script measures the path and the speed of that particular pack, so it counts from the pack rather than from a rule of thumb.

Multi-stacking is the next level: one hero chains two or more camps in a single run. By hand that needs a memorised route; the module builds one itself.

What the Auto-Stacker module does in Umbrella

  • Works out the aggro moment. Timing comes from the specific camp and the speed of its creeps, not from a single "pull at 53".
  • Multi-stacking. One hero chains several camps in a run and the route is built automatically.
  • Action visualisation. Each unit carries its current status above it, a route line runs from the unit to the chosen spot and the camp itself is marked with an icon — all of it customisable or switched off.
  • Summon stacking. Controlled units are calculated separately from the hero, so a bear, wolves or illusions pull a camp correctly.

The September 15, 2026 version was rewritten from scratch — the change list. Together with the creep blocker and the last hitter the module closes the whole farming loop: lane block, last hits, a full jungle.

How the module picks a camp and plans the route

Camps are marked in advance from anywhere on the map and the script keeps them for the rest of the game. After that you only need a unit and a keybind: the route is set by cursor direction, not by clicking the camp itself. A short flick towards it is enough for the module to work out which of the active spots you meant. This is exactly what breaks manual multi-stacking — with five or six spots live at once, hitting the right one with a click is close to impossible.

Once a unit gets the order the script reads its parameters: type, movement and turn speed, attack range and attack speed, remaining lifetime. If that lifetime will not cover the whole route the unit is not sent to waste — the module picks a closer camp or declines the order.

At the camp itself the decision depends on vision:

  • Camp in vision — every neutral position is known in advance, so the outermost creep and the pull route are chosen before the unit even arrives.
  • Camp in the fog — the maths happens on approach, in fractions of a second: only then are the pack and its layout visible.

Ten and more simultaneous stacks run without a performance drop, so the ceiling is the number of units you can get, not the script.

Smart double-stacking: two camps with one unit

Some positions on the map let a single unit pull two camps in one go. The module knows those spots and judges for itself whether a double stack will land from the current position and at the current speed.

The best known example is the triple camp. A unit sent there works out the turn time, the approach distance, the attack timing, the projectile speed and the moment to leave for the second camp. You give one command, the rest happens without you.

There are several such places, so three units in the right spots produce up to six stacks a minute. Nobody does that by hand, pro players included — worth keeping in mind, see the safety section.

Next on the roadmap is multi-stacking that uses hero abilities. The current version took over half a year to write, so new scenarios will not arrive overnight.

How to enable auto-stacking

  1. Launch Umbrella (pick a plan and download the loader).
  2. Open the Auto-Stacker section in the menu and enable the module.
  3. Tick the camps to stack — or leave the automatic pick of the nearest ones.
  4. Turn on multi-stacking if your position has time for a route.
  5. Turn on the visualisation so you can see the countdown and not override the script.
  6. Save the config to the cloud. Ready-made presets are in the config section.

Is it safe

There is risk with any third-party software. Umbrella reduces it with the spoofer and cloud config storage — settings are never written to disk. A detailed breakdown is in "Is cheating bannable in Dota 2".

A word on how the module behaves. For every camp it generates unique micro-positions with a small random deviation, so approaches never repeat identically from game to game. Auto-Stacker is wired into the Humanizer module, which adds variance to delays and to the order of actions and strips redundant commands, keeping the picture closer to a live player. Common sense still applies: no human pulls ten camps at once, so the more spots you stack per minute, the more it stands out.

FAQ

What second should you stack creeps at?

Close camps are aggroed around the 53rd–55th second, far and ancient ones earlier, around the 50th–52nd. The exact moment depends on pack size, creep speed and how far you have to lead them, so there is no single number for every camp.

How many stacks can one camp hold?

There is no cap — a camp is stacked as many times as you manage, usually three or four in a game. It stops being worth it once nobody is left to clear the pile.

What is multi-stacking?

Stacking several camps in one run: the hero pulls one pack, walks straight to the next and still makes its timing. By hand that needs a memorised route, the script builds it itself.

Can summons stack camps?

Yes — controlled units such as the Lone Druid bear, Lycan wolves or illusions pull a camp the same way. The module calculates them separately from the hero.

How many camps can the script stack at once?

Ten and more active stacks run without a performance drop. The practical limit is the number of units rather than the maths: three units in the right positions give up to six stacks a minute.

What is double-stacking and where does it work?

It is one unit stacking two camps from a single position, the triple camp being the classic example. The module finds those spots itself and calculates turn time, approach distance, attack timing and projectile flight before leading the creeps to the second camp.

Can you get banned for auto-stacking?

There is risk with any cheat. Umbrella runs client-side, and the spoofer with cloud configs reduces the chance of detection. We do not promise full protection.
