- Battle Pass drops. Each season 1-2 arcanas drop from chests. The chance is < 0.5% — realistically catchable only with 200+ chests opened.
- Event giveaways. Valve periodically gives away arcanas as rewards for participating in festivals (Crownfall, Frostivus). Check
store.steampowered.comfor news. - Compendium votes. Every 2-3 years players vote for the next arcana. Sometimes the winning one is free for the first million voters.
- Twitch Drops. During major tournaments (TI, Majors) there are drops of arcana items for watching.
Trading and the Steam Market
Most arcanas are not tradable — they're "account-bound" items. Exceptions: old arcanas (Lina, Pudge) can be bought on the Steam Market at a reduced price after the season ends.

Via the Umbrella Skin Changer
The Umbrella subscription from $2.99 gives activation of any arcana — without buying on Steam:
- Buy the Umbrella subscription.
- Open the Skin Changer in the menu.
- Choose a hero → choose an arcana → Apply.
- Enter a game — the arcana is active.
Downside: the look is visible only to you (a client-side substitution). Allies and enemies see the standard skin. Replays show the standard skin.

FAQ
Can you get an arcana via a cheat?
No. All cheats (including Umbrella) work only on the client — a real item doesn't appear in the Steam inventory. Trade / market are unavailable.
How much does the most expensive arcana cost?
Pudge Feast of Abscession — about $57 on the Steam Market in February 2026. Lina Fiery Soul — $35. Most of the rest are from $8 to $20.
Is it safe to download arcana mods from other sites?
No. Third-party mods often contain malware. Use only proven solutions like Umbrella with an active subscription and support.
